A CONTINUING SERIES ON HOW CHURCH IS ACTIVE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES
A smile and a welcome
Why have people around the world made the decision to unite with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, The Mother Church in Boston, or with a local branch church in their own communities—or with both?
Each week for the next year the Sentinel will be running a series featuring stories from church members who will answer that question in their own ways. You'll read about individual journeys of spiritual awakening that sparked the desire to unite with the worldwide fellowship of students of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
The reasons that led these individuals to take this step are myriad, and as varied as the members themselves—coming from places as far-flung as Russia, South Africa, Japan, Australia, North America, Europe, and South America. But whatever the details of the journey—the true incentive for each decision has been the same: love for God and humanity.
