Girl Meets God
Author Lauren Winner comes to terms with Judaism and Christianity.
"Boy, That's someone I'd really like to meet," said a graduate student at Harvard Divinity School when she heard I'd be interviewing Lauren Winner for the Sentinel.
The student, a mother of two, had just read Winner's book Girl Meets God: On the Path to a Spiritual Life and was recommending it to her classmates, her home Bible study group, and her friends of several different religious persuasions.
"I love the way Lauren's Judaism informed her Christianity and led her to a fuller expression of her reverence for God," she said, adding that she felt the book beautifully and consistently presented all aspects of the Holy Trinity, and that Lauren had done it in a non-academic way that had broadened and deepened her Jewish studies.
