Borne upon wings

On single stanchion worn silver smooth
by seasons' steady turning he pauses.
A silent seer guarding the ancient way.

In youth's grace he perches,
feather upon sepia feather, resting.
Faith unseen by my focused approach.

In a moment silence explodes.
Wings beat heard, lifting heavy air.
Eagle's stare fixed aloft—the rising secure.
Stilled in my pace, I watch.
Revering the sacredness of seconds
in presence of soaring faith.

Grateful to the one grand Creator
for this majesty unfurled.
Promise of unending winged protection.

How many quiet blessings slip away unseen
through hands so tightly clenched,
bent on pushing along the mortal seam.

Gratitude wells for reminder burned in thought
through Eagle's grand flight witnessed.
Turning, I look up, hands open and waiting.

Ready for the Father's mightly message
of unbroken love for all His creation.
Eyes open to infinite treasures of Truth revealed.

In wonder I watch as Eagle climbs higher
barely a speck in sky of deep blue.
Heart renewed I walk on—hoping soon to soar.
