Prayer aids pregnancy, childbirth
Originally published in O Arauto da Christian Science
Every aspect of our lives depends only on God. If this weren't so, if there were another power influencing our lives, then God wouldn't be omnipotent, and wouldn't have all power.
Years ago, when I was two months pregnant, the doctor told me there was a rupture between the baby and the placenta, and that it was very probable that I would miscarry because the fetus was not being nourished, and this was impeding its development. He told me that if things weren't normal within two weeks' time, I would have to terminate the pregnancy.
I was crushed because I was overjoyed at being pregnant and I knew that the baby was a present from God to me.
