A child's reach

As a Child , I never questioned whether Santa Claus would be financially able to bring me presents, or if he could take care of all the children at the same time. After all, doubt and fear don't belong to a mind that's pure and full of love.

Years have passed, and many Christmases have come and gone. I don't remember when the childish illusion of a Santa was broken for me. Maybe I overheard a conversation between adults, or my little friends may have told me. Each of us may have found out the truth differently, but the innocence of a child's pure thought can never be lost.

Jesus once said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me . . . for of such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:14). These words of Jesus make me think that we can shelter pure thoughts within our hearts—thoughts that are free from fear, hate, hurt, and resentment, because purity helps us reach our goals and acknowledge our only true heredity, which is spiritual.
