Tolerance

There they stood,
Two flaming towers in the bright morning sun.

I sit in disbelief,
Dumbfounded at the sight.

Is this really happening?

I stare in shock,
Listening to the news reporters.

Loathing fills my thoughts.
This is my country.

How dare they!

My face in my hands,
I try to clear my mind.

I can't blame many
For the actions of a few.

Islam means peace.

To condemn those who are different from me
Would make me worse than the terrorists.
