A way will open up . . .

Last month , five middle and high-school students from Cove, Oregon, talked with Sentinel photographer Ari Denison and his wife, Nichole. Their insights on causes, responses, and the role of prayer relating to the tragedy of September 11 begin here and continue on pages 9, 11, 13, and 16. These students also take a look into the future—toward the possibilities for a better world.

Has 9/11 changed you and your friends in any way?

Lester: I believe it has. It's got everybody thinking about war and terror and where it's going to happen next. Everybody's talking about it ever since it happened. It seems like a long time ago now. I think it's changed everybody's life in some way.
