Spiritual perspective on movies
Kate and Leopold ... and Russell
The founder of this magazine, Mary Baker Eddy, requested that the editors stay "abreast of the times." With this in mind, the Sentinel offers insights on movies. This feature is not intended to present either "picks" or "pans," but is a forum for exchanging spiritual ideas about a major form of popular entertainment.
Kate and Leopold stars the ever-winsome Meg Ryan and Australian Hugh Jackman. This light—super light—romantic comedy pairs Jackman's character Leopold, an aristocrat from 1876, with Ryan's 2002 hyper career woman Kate. What could these two films different genres that are certainly light years apart in depth and quality have in common?
