"I am spiritual"
I was staying with a friend and we were on our way to bed; she was following me up the stairs. My foot slipped on the stairs, and I crashed down, hitting the side of my head and my face with immense force on the doorjamb.
The only thing that came to me to think was, "I am spiritual. I am spiritual." This I repeated to myself over and over again. At the same time, my friend was asking urgently if I was all right. At first I wasn't ready to answer her, but suddenly I stood up and looked her straight in the eye and said, "Yes, I am all right."
The next day, Saturday, it became apparent that I had dislocated my finger and hurt my shoulder and neck. I knew that the same truth that had helped me get back on my feet after I had fallen would heal these injuries.
