Eating disorder gone
After joining a tennis league in Orlando, I began playing singles regularly in hot, humid weather.
My first match was during one of Florida's most intense heat waves in recent years. I was really enjoying the match until I became extremely overheated. Suddenly, I began to black out. I could no longer stand up, and was very afraid that I was losing consciousness.
I sat down and began to pray. I asked myself, What is consciousness? I needed to be aware of God. So I immediately affirmed that my being was the reflection of God. That I was spiritual and therefore couldn't suffer from this activity. As I was praying, a hymn I knew came to thought that was about living, moving, and breathing in the "atmosphere" of Love, which is a name for God (see Christian Science Hymnal, No. 144).
