A teacher's aide prays on the spot
I prayed to hear direction from God about how I could help.
A couple of years ago I worked as an instructional aide in an elementary school. Before I began, I'd been warned about particular students who were defiant and unfocused.
I remembered my own grade school teachers spreading stories about me being disruptive. I knew it wasn't right for me to do the same thing. That would only prolong the problem.
These students were God's children. So it would be natural, I realized, for them to be obedient and intelligent. I prayed to love them as God loves them—without a trace of disappointment or doubt. And I found I could do this, approaching them with a desire to see their goodness from God.
