A healing that left no scar
One April day I began cutting the lawn with a new power mower. The grass was damp and was clogging the chute.
Without thinking, I put my hand in the opening to clear it while the mower was running. The rotating blade cut deeply into my index finger. I quickly shut off the mower and turned wholeheartedly to God. I prayed, knowing that I could never be separated from the goodness and protective power of God.
My painful finger was bleeding profusely, so I went into the house to clean the wound and apply a bandage. I wanted to call a Christian Science practitioner right away to pray for me, but couldn't reach one. Then I recalled that God was right there with me. That He was enforcing the power of good and that God had made me perfect—so I was perfect right then.
