Safety in rough seas
Original in Portuguese
Some years ago, when my daughters were children, we used to spend our vacations near a beach in an isolated, faraway place. To reach this place, there was only one road — unpaved. One time, the road was worse than usual and we decided to go by boat. We left the car in a small town and took a very simple wooden fishing boat, with a motor and no top. There were six of us, plus the boatman, and we were taking enough luggage and food for the next two weeks. This all made the boat very heavy. It would be about a two-hour trip, and the day was gray, with drizzle.
This was the moment to surrender everything to God, to really trust Him.
