Healing through several generations
After consulting many doctors about a severe internal difficulty, my grandmother finally saw a top medical specialist, who told her that medicine could do nothing more for her. Then he suggested that she try Christian Science. Although she knew nothing about it, my grandmother asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray for her. And she was quickly and completely healed. She became an active, enthusiastic church member.
Her healing took place years before I was born, but she and my mother told me about it many times. It was my grandmother who enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School and encouraged me in my study of the laws of God.
Four times during my life, the word of God has come so distinctly to my thought that it sounded clearly audible to me. Each message was so precious, each left me so in awe of my Father-Mother God's direction and protection, that I find it difficult to talk about any of them. But I would like to share one.
