Child recovers from fall
One day I was at the park having a great time with my friend, my older sister, and my mom. I was swinging with my friend and my sister. As I leaned backward, my hands slipped off the swing. I fell off, landing on my back with a hard thud. My sister immediately jumped off the swing and somehow was able to get me to the bench where my mom was resting. I was thinking about the hymn that starts, "Be Thou, O God, exalted high; / And as Thy glory fills the sky ..." (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 1). This led me to think that God's glory was all around me, and I couldn't be harmed. I could also feel that my mom was praying very hard, and I knew everything would be fine. In a few minutes, I was running around again.
I still love swings.
