"Your decisions will master you, whichever direction they take." MARY BAKER EDDY

Who's directing your life?

I HAD moved from New York to California to pursue an acting career. Before I arrived, the manager I had talked to over the phone said he would set me up with introductions and auditions. By the time I had moved, however, he was no longer with the management company. After braving the big move, I had no connections in Hollywood. All I had was a big question mark about my future.

So, I began to worry. That worry then jumped up a notch to fear. Fear jumped up a notch to "Oh, my God, what am I going to do!" There were some casting hot lines that I could call, but they had no lucrative opportunities. What's more, the clock was ticking on my savings.

I figured I had two choices—continue to worry or pray to God. I had learned a lot about God through my study of the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, and had never strayed from what I'd learned.
