Faithfulness to the Commandments eliminates back pain
The Commandments are ten rules that God gave to Moses when he led the children of Israel to the Promised Land (see Ex. 20:1–17). These rules are basic today, and each one can be applied with healing results. This proved true for me when I was healed of a painful back condition.
I had been working in an organization for about a year. I was put in charge of the stock room, where there was much lifting and moving around. One day I suddenly had trouble with my back, and it pained me to sit or stand or even to lie down. I studied the Bible and Science and Health for several days, but got no relief. I was, however, able to continue in the job.
I decided to go to an osteopath for help. I lay on the table for half an hour, his deft hands examining me thoroughly. Then he told me he could find nothing wrong. I left his office no better off. The pain was still there.
