Volunteering time ... and prayer
What have you done for your community lately?
FROM PEOPLE WHO volunteer in public schools and libraries to those who work in soup kitchens or as kids' mentors, comes a steady stream of comments on the value of helping others. Frequently volunteers talk about how much they get from volunteering instead of focusing on how much time they have to give up from their personal lives or careers as a result. In fact, some companies actively encourage their employees to volunteer their time.
Conscious intimacy with God and unselfishly doing good go hand in hand.
