Able to eat fearlessly
Many years ago, my family and friends planned a trip to Mexico. We were warned by acquaintances not to eat the regular food, but to eat only at a familiar chain of restaurants. Since my family had long eaten at a local Mexican restaurant in our hometown, I was eager to have some authentic Mexican food on our vacation. So I decided that every time I sat down to eat, I was first going to recall Jesus' teachings from Matthew, and to thank God for giving me exactly what I needed at that moment. "Take no thought ...," instructs Jesus, "what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink" (Matt. 6:25).
I learned that it's what I put in thought that counts, not what I put in my stomach.
