Hearing loss restored; child's character transformed
Our fifth child was noticeably hard of hearing at an early age. The teachers would give him a front seat in the classroom, and sports coaches would face him when talking. He was also overweight, a bully at school, and his academic performance was only fair.
His fourth-grade teacher emphasized the hearing problem so much that I made an appointment with an audiologist, thinking that I would get him a hearing aid. The audiologist said that he would need an operation and recommended a physician. I thanked her and told her that we were Christian Scientists, assuring her that we would take care of the problem. After this, I prayed daily with an earnest desire for this condition to be healed.
