DISAPPOINTED? PRAY AND OBEY
My daughter had earned a place in an advanced English class because of her excellent grades in this subject in junior high. She was just entering high school and was looking forward to this class. However, disappointment loomed on the horizon.
It seemed there wasn't room enough in the class for all who qualified, so the school removed the names of the first two qualifiers. My daughter was one of these two students.
The other girl's mother went to the high school and demanded that her daughter be placed in the advanced class. The administration capitulated. My daughter was devastated. She wondered why I hadn't gone up and demanded the same thing. But I didn't want to solve this problem through intimidation. Having taken all my problems to God, divine Love, all my life, I took this opportunity to pray also.
