Inheritance
Mother's arms reach out to me,
promising shelter
from the illusion
of sorrow and discontent
that a mortal view perpetuates.
Father's smile begins to melt
the hardened shell
encasing my heart.
Distrust and despair fall away
into the nothingness
from whence they came.
Hope springs forth,
as a ray of light
piercing the darkness,
dazzling my vision,
restoring my soul.
Father-Mother God
always was and forever will be
Love and Truth and goodness.
My true being reflects only these
as a son of God
whose inheritance
is Life eternal.
