To Our Readers

PONDER TIME . How quickly most of us forget to take it to stop running, stop the telephone calls, stop the routine long enough to consider carefully the significance of something.

Take, for example, an account of a medically diagnosed case of diabetes being cured through spiritual means alone. That is significant, and certainly worth some careful consideration. In this week's issue, you'll find not only one such account but two, along with our Cover Story on the subject from contributing editor David Driver.

Because of many such remarkable healings over the years, and also in response to society's growing interest in and exploration of things spiritual, medical professionals have been doing a lot more pondering of the relationship between spirituality and a person's health. Consequently, there have been noteworthy changes in society's approach to health care in recent years. Frequently, some of these changes are mentioned in our weekly "Items of Interest" department, a kind of bulletin board for news and trends worth watching. You'll find just such an item this week.
