The Source Of Creative Ideas

I was a hardworking, but only average high-school student when I first read Science and Health. The book changed my life. The concept that God is divine Mind, and that He is the source of one's intelligence and ability, broke down the barriers of limitation that I had placed on my capabilities.

As I regularly studied the Bible and Science and Health, God-given skills blossomed into expression. I discovered that I had a talent for arranging, performing, teaching, and composing music (including songs), as well as scripting and producing original school musicals. The more I held to the fact that I am God's competent child, the more readily and easily creative ideas flowed.

A big test came, however, when the principal of the high school where I was teaching music assigned me to help an English teacher. The students in her class were bored. Discipline was a problem. My job was to devise exercises for the class that combined elements of English and drama and to help implement them.
