Expect happiness and healing

God instills confidence and impels progress.

Life Is Full of surprises, both pleasant and disappointing. But that doesn't mean the quality of our lives is a mere matter of chance. Expectation plays a big role in determining our happiness and health.

What we expect depends, to a large extent, on how we view God and our relation to Him. If we see God as a sort of superhuman, with both strengths and weaknesses and who intervenes in our experience on random occasions, we may expect our lives to be full of ups and downs, blessings and cursings. Many people believe in a changeable God, who may—or may not—help in time of trouble.

Christian Science, however, supports the Bible's teaching that God is ever-present divine Love. This one perfect Principle of all being is always good, always caring, always available, completely in control. Knowing that God constantly loves and cares for His children gives us confidence about the future, because we know that we can always turn to Him for help.
