Facial lacerations and head injuries healed

Nearly a year ago while I was out walking, I must have stumbled on something on the sidewalk, for I fell with great force, landing facedown on the hard pavement. Barely conscious, I prayed to know God's presence. At first I marveled that no one was around and that the cars did not stop. But later I felt this was a quiet time alone to pray and listen to God before anyone saw the alarming picture I presented.

When I felt I could get up, I walked to a Methodist church nearby that I knew was open for a sale on that day. On my way a young man in a truck stopped and walked into the church with me. The people there were very kind and allowed me to rest while attempting to wash my face. Because they were concerned, they called an ambulance.

The paramedics wanted me to go to a hospital for care and evaluation, as they felt that there could be lasting effects from a head injury. I declined their offer, as I felt sure that God was caring for me, and that all that was going on was good. I explained that I am a Christian Scientist. One of the church workers kindly drove me home, but she asked me to come by the church when I could and let them know I was all right.
