In response to the article "Technology: Friend or foe?" (November 1), what a joy it must be for these computer professionals to know that there is an answer (not necessarily mathematical) to the questions which arise in their important work.
Also, regarding the letter from Elise Young (November 8) and articles on the same subject: perhaps these inmates can be assured that a lot of those "outside" are also "prisoners" of fear and insecurity.
