Severe behavior disorder healed

I faced a number of challenges during my adolescent years. I was a disruptive student and frequently needed to be disciplined by my teachers. As a result of this behavior, my parents were asked by school officials to place me in counseling. I attended behavior therapy sessions with psychologists for years and saw psychiatrists, who would prescribe different medication in hopes of finding a combination that could cure my depression and hyperactivity. I was diagnosed as severely behaviorally handicapped (in recent years referred to as ADD, attention deficit disorder). I remember getting into fights with other students, and frequently contemplating suicide. I was placed in a special classroom during junior high and my first year of high school, and hospitalization in a mental institution was recommended.

I stopped taking the medicine. I took control of my own behavior, and the reports from school reflected a dramatic improvement.
