DO YOU HAVE A "GRRR" ATTITUDE?
A friend once mentioned the value of examining our attitudes. She noted that when a "grrr" attitude surfaces, we are imposing upon ourselves anger, distress, willfulness, contempt, and impatience. Not a very pleasant experience.
But if we put those two terms together, we have "gratitude." A "grrr" attitude pulls things apart. Gratitude puts them together, and this results in harmony. Everyone likes to live with gratitude.
Christ Jesus said of his relationship with God, "I do always those things that please him" (John 8:29). This attitude grows out of gratitude for God, and makes it natural to do things that please God. Then we may hear God say to us, "You do always those things that please me."
