Child's prayers bring healing
I have always been so grateful that my parents had learned to trust God to care for me wherever I was. Because of this, and because of the wonderful understanding they gave me about my relation to God, I never felt alone or in danger when I was growing up. I knew I could always turn to God in prayer and immediately feel His loving presence. One example of how I did this took place the first time I was at summer camp—in another state many miles away from home. As a group of us was crossing a field on the way to our next activity, we came upon a bees' nest on the ground. I very naively began poking at the nest with a stick to see if there was anything inside. There was. Suddenly hundreds of very angry bees flew straight at me, stinging me repeatedly on my face and body.
The fever and swelling were gone, and my face looked normal.
