Dear Sentinel
We are talking about the Beatitudes in our Sunday School class (see Matt. 5, verses 3–12). When my grandmother bought me a basketball, my brother had a football. He got mad because he wanted a basketball. So I thought about the Beatitudes. I said to my brother, "You can use mine." And everything was fine.
There were two Beatitudes that helped me work out this problem. The first one is the fourth beatitude, which asks us to hunger and thirst after righteousness. Sharing seemed to be the right thing to do. Also I used the seventh beatitude, which states, "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." I feel that sharing with my brother that day made me a peacemaker.
