Symptoms of spinal meningitis cured

When I was a young child, I became ill with symptoms of spinal meningitis. My grandmother had passed on shortly before with this disease, which had been diagnosed medically, and my symptoms were the same. In my case, Christian Science treatment was the only treatment given. At one point two Christian Science practitioners (a husband and wife) took turns praying around the clock for me and my parents. Their loving dedication and effective treatment still fills me with gratitude.

After a few days of prayer, my mom realized that the superstition that those who had passed on could "beckon" someone still living to join them needed to be seen as a lie, and thus destroyed. Once this falsehood was uncovered and banished by the truth that I was not subject to any belief of mortal mind, I began to respond. I was soon well enough to sit by a window and watch neighborhood children skate on a frozen creek behind our home.

While I was wishing I could join them, one of the boys fell and apparently injured himself. Immediately I began to pray, and then I rushed downstairs to tell my mom. Up until that time I had not been able to go down stairs. From then on I was completely free.

This experience stands as a landmark in my life and shows the thoroughness of spiritual healing.
