Yosemite friend

I was in Yosemite.
Thought I was alone, just me.
But a healing proved me wrong!
God was really there all along.
I was jumping from rock to rock.
Suddenly I fell—it was a great shock.
"Ow!" I thought, "this really stings."
But then I knew, "I'm OK because
I'm protected by God's mighty wings."
I started jumping all over again,
And God was jumping with me, being my friend.

Author's note: My family and I traveled to Yosemite National Park. When we got to the Yosemite lodge, I was so excited that I went outside by myself and started jumping on a row of rocks. When I got to one wet yellow rock, I slipped and fell on the thousands of little pebbles below. My hands fell first and my right hand got cut. At first it hurt, but then I knew God was protecting me all the time, and I was in His care, under His mighty wings. I then forgot about my hand and got up and started jumping from rock to rock again, knowing this time that God was right beside me. When I checked my hand later, it was OK.
