Listen closely to that inner voice
One of the most accurate and helpful means for navigating safely through life is the endowment we all have called conscience. And these days, in a world swirling with complex social, political, and cultural issues, it is crucial that this God-given ability to distinguish between right and wrong be valued.
Yet it's not enough just to know that we have a conscience. The greater need is to hear clearly and to heed what it is telling us. Otherwise, we may head into the tough issues that confront us each day with little more than personal opinion or guesswork to guide us, which can be about as reliable for pointing us in the right direction as a gust of wind.
