From The Christian Science Board of Directors

New appointments

We are pleased to announce the election of Walter D. Jones, C.S.B., of Des Moines, Iowa, to serve as a member of The Christian Science Board of Directors. He succeeds William H. Hill, C.S.B., who has chosen to return to the full-time practice of Christian Science healing and teaching in Vancouver, Canada.

For the past eight years Mr. Jones has been Christian Science Committee on Publication for the State of Iowa. In that position he has played a strong role in establishing and maintaining public contacts in the fields of medicine and theology, and in legislative work in his home state and at the federal level in Washington, D.C.

He worked for several years in Boston as an interviewer, producer, and host for the broadcast edition of The Herald of Christian Science, and as a reporter for Monitor Radio. He also served in the Office of the Clerk as manager of Christian Science Organization activity at colleges and universities worldwide. Earlier he had enjoyed a ten-year career in television—including reporting, producing, and anchoring with ABC and NBC affiliates in Iowa.
