The Bible describes the size of Noah's ark in terms of cubits. A cubit has both an approximate and a precise measure. Roughly, a cubit is the distance from a man's elbow to his fingertips. More precisely, a common cubit is about 17.5 inches.
Looking at the directions God gives Noah for building the ark (see Gen. 6:15), can you figure out how many inches the boat would have been? Then can you figure out how many feet it would have been? (Hint: 12 inches equal 1 foot.)
Next, try measuring your bedroom. Would Noah's ark have fitted in your room?
