Cyst eliminated through prayer
Translated from Portuguese
As I relate this testimony I would like to emphasize that before I began to study Christian Science I didn't give any credence to spiritual healing. The religion with which I was affiliated had taught me that healing had ended with the death of the last apostle. I saw the preaching of healing as a means of swindling people of good faith. Now I realize how much I was misled, and I am very grateful to Christian Science for the revelation and understanding of healing through divine Mind.
More than a year ago a very painful inflammation developed in the upper gums in my mouth, where there seemed to be a cyst. I was always zealous in caring for my teeth, and I visited the dentist regularly. I knew that when I next went to the dentist he would prescribe some medication, and I didn't want to turn to material means anymore. "Well," I thought to myself, "I have been studying Christian Science for almost a year; now it is time to apply what I have been learning."
