TO OUR READERS

In the last few years, a significant number of books have been published that purport to help men communicate with women—and vice versa. But despite this effort, gender relations is still a subject we hear about from readers. The Sentinel is stepping forward to show how to find common ground instead of emphasizing these relations as a battleground.

Our first author, Madelon Maupin Miles, uses the best-selling Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus as her kickoff point toward presenting a spiritual view of the subject. Next, Jon Benson offers a different but complementary perspective on our images of men, women, and ultimately, ourselves.

In the "Media Watch" portion of the issue, you'll find an exploration of "Spirituality ... in the sports section?" "Thought scanning" shows that it's as important to keep our thoughts free of contamination as it is to keep a virus out of our computers. And "Forgiveness and healing" tells how a severe Case of eczema was cured through spiritual means alone. In "Don't wait to be healed," someone who believes she can only be healed by passing on discovers that healing is possible right now.
