I had walked around the kitchen floor barefoot after a glass had broken. A few days later I realized that something was in my foot. Every time I walked downhill, my heel was painful. I was determined to get the object out of my foot.
Mom came in just a few seconds after I started to dig the sliver out and asked what I was doing. When I explained the situation, she asked if I wanted to pray with her instead. I was glad she asked, because I could see the object was deeply buried, and it would have hurt to get it out the way I'd started.
I quit looking at my foot and started my mental operation of digging for truth, since that is all we really can find. The truth is that I am safe. No hurting lie can penetrate or hide in divine Mind, God, and I know the reality that God knows, and this is only good.
