My first healing, as a small child, was the overnight removal of many warts on one hand by a Christian Science practitioner's prayerful treatment.

My mother had started studying Christian Science after six doctors had given up on curing her. She found a Sentinel in a literature distribution box in a movie theater. After reading it that evening, she declared, "This is what I've been looking for all my life." Soon after she had an appointment with a Christian Science practitioner, and right after meeting with her, a bone that had been out of place in her spine, causing considerable pain and attacks of nausea, was adjusted. There was a loud crack, which those around her heard, including me. She knew immediately that she was completely cured, and she was never again troubled by the condition.
