A perfect heritage

Have you thought about why we do things the way we do them? Some people say it's because that's the way our parents did them. Others believe the things we do have a basis in genetics. These explanations could seem pretty convincing, even logical, if it weren't for the fact that they minimize or miss altogether the most important factor—God.

God has everything to do with who we really are and how we're doing because God is our creator. And what He creates us to be and do is good only. That God is vital to our health and behavior is seen to the highest degree in the life of Christ Jesus. Jesus healed both Gentile and Jew, treating all justly and compassionately. His allegiance was to God. His teachings, including the Lord's Prayer, are full of references to God as Father. This is more than a symbolic term for God. It is the true relation we all have to Him as our Father-Mother.

All of God's children—you and me—are included in His love. This means our roots are actually spiritual, not material. So we don't need to judge ourselves or others on the basis of genetics, gender, race, or religion. Rather, as spiritual and perfect, rooted in God. Man, God's idea, was not created according to material conditions and circumstances but is entirely spiritual, rich in God, Love.
