Man—forever safe and perfect
We live in Zaire, and my brother had to carry his boss's goods from Bandundu Province to Kinshasa in a lorry at a time when the soldiers had mutinied and pillaging had broken out. The lorry had to go through two military camps where the soldiers used to dispossess people of their belongings, including cars and lorries. These vehicles were either burned or abandoned after their motors and other important parts had been removed. Before departing to Bandundu, my brother asked me to pray for his protection and security.
When I heard our soldiers were sacking everything that came their way, I earnestly turned my thoughts to God, recognizing that my brother and the other passengers were actually spiritual ideas. Therefore, they were entirely safe in divine Mind. Nothing and nobody could endanger them, for nothing and nobody could harm God, their sole source. They all reached Kinshasa safely. My brother reported that they came across only one group of soldiers who attempted to fire on them, but all their bullets passed to the side or over their heads.
Man as the reflection of God, Spirit, is one with his Maker. That is, he lives and acts in accordance with the law of God. We can prove this as my brother did. The fact that Christ Jesus devoted his lifetime to explaining the unity of man with God encourages us to strive daily against the belief in a material creation and in a man separated from God, good.
