My family has experienced so many healings over the years! It's high time that I express in writing my deep gratitude for God's strong protection and tender care.

While I was pregnant with our first child, I set aside time each day to pray specifically for myself and the child. A Christian Science practitioner also prayed with me during much of this time. I sought to view the baby as already complete, perfectly formed, and entirely spiritual. I felt so safe and peaceful with this thought.

The obstetrician we had engaged to deliver the baby was somewhat familiar with Christian Science and respectful of my desire to trust my pregnancy and its unfoldment to God. When the time came, my husband and I drove to the hospital. After about eight hours, the physician leaned toward me and quietly explained that, although the baby was positioned headfirst, she was facing upward instead of downward and was having trouble making her way out.
