Moment of realization
For some time I had been in constant pain in my legs and back when I walked any distance. This particular morning my thought reached out to God in deep prayer.
Walking along the street, I looked at the magnificent oak trees spreading their branches and limbs over huge areas. I saw them as precious symbols of God's spiritual universe of ideas. Every idea in God's universe reflects Life effortlessly, expressing exactly what God has ordained for it. The trees don't say, "Well, I've had it. I am on in years now, and it really hurts to grow another inch or spread out another limb. It is just too painful to have to put forth that much effort."
The pain lifted. I glimpsed the fact that man is a spiritual idea, the complete reflection of God. Man is constituted solely of spiritual qualities—freedom, joy, buoyancy, agility. All of man's functions and movements are under the constant government of God's law of harmony. How could a reflection be in pain?
