Last spring I attended a concert at one of the local colleges. After the concert I was walking out of the foyer when I suddenly fell forward on the rough concrete, striking my face, hand, and knee. There were numerous cuts and abrasions.
I felt God's presence at that moment, though, and I thought "You are all right—drive home." My friends helped me up and suggested I go to an emergency clinic, but I declined and drove the ten miles home by myself.
My leg was discolored for a while, but I went to the Bible and Science and Health, and I studied the Lesson-Sermon (found in the Christian Science Quarterly). I was soon able to drive without difficulty again and teach my music classes.
I thank God for His care and Mary Baker Eddy for her spiritual insight and dedication to the world.
