Not long ago, U.S. News & World Report focused on "Invincible Kids" (November 11, 1996). These are young people who—against the odds—are resilient enough to overcome difficult family conditions and to build stable and productive lives. One of the key elements in many of these instances was a caring adult—often, but not necessarily, a family member. Other magazines and newspapers tell of programs where senior citizens and youth interact with benefits on both sides.
This week's focus provides a spiritual for these kinds of relationships and offers some guidance into how all ages can benefit from knowing God's loving care of everyone.
Also in this issue: another segment in the "Introduction to the Bible" series, helping children adjust to school, and trusting in God whether during wartime or in traffic!
