A few years ago I went through a very difficult time
A few years ago I went through a very difficult time. As a result my health began to suffer. I began searching for the answers to life. In my search I found Science and Health in my local library. At the time I was suffering from chronic cystitis. About three-quarters of the way through my second reading of the book, I gave up all material remedies and relied on the spiritual truths set forth in the book for healing. Several nights later, although I was in acute discomfort, I went to bed feeling uplifted by and joyous over what I had been reading. I woke in the morning completely healed, and the condition has never recurred.
I am also grateful for a healing of an inflamed growth on my neck. After studying the Bible Lesson (found in the Christian Science Quarterly) for that week, I prayerfully held to the truth that man is made in the image and likeness of God. Man is spiritual and not mortal or material. There is only spiritual growth. There is no material growth, for the belief of life in matter is an illusion. God is perfect, and His idea, His reflection, is also perfect. Perfect God and perfect man. Within two hours the condition was healed.
