No expression of gratitude is too small to relate

No expression of gratitude is too small to relate. Even a seemingly insignificant experience deserves our grateful response if some truth was tenderly made plain, or a better understanding of spiritual reality was gained.

I had just such an experience last year. After a specific activity, there was pain from my neck to my toes. It was such a silly thing, really. A "1950s day" was being planned at work. One of the organizers had given me a Hula Hoop. I remembered having had much enjoyment years ago, twirling the hoop around my middle. It seemed as though I could go on for hours. But last year, when I tried to spin the hoop, I couldn't! I practiced every day, and still I couldn't That's where the pain from head to toe stepped in.

In my work there is a need for physical freedom and movement. Concerned that my work was being curtailed by my discomfort, and feeling very frustrated, I knew I had to pray to resolve the bind I was in. I happened to have the hoop nearby when one of my friend's little girls was around. I gave the hoop to her. The child took the hoop and spun it effortlessly. Amazed, I realized there was a lesson for me to learn.
