Womanhood and true communication
The National Foundation for Women Legislators in the United States assists women legislators in the process of election, reelection, legislative debate, networking, and leadership. The rallying call at the foundation's annual conference held last October in Santa Fe, New Mexico, was: "Women have succeeded for 100 years in state legislatures, but there is more to be done; there are more positions to be filled. ... And the sky is limitless."
One of the speakers at the conference was Virginia S. Harris, Chairman of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Her topic was "Womanhood in the Century to Come: Telecommunications—High Tech and High Touch."
Here are excerpts from her speech.
