Christian Science is a way of life for me

Christian Science is a way of life for me. When I was young my needs were well met by my mother or a loving Christian Science practitioner. Later on, after marriage and the arrival of children, I found that I had to dig deeper into Christian Science.

About four days after the birth of our second child, I was experiencing a most inharmonious and painful bodily function. I have no way of knowing by what name it would be called. Through my own prayer and the prayer of a dear practitioner, harmonious functioning was established in less than two weeks. We prayed constantly with Mrs. Eddy's statement "Every function of the real man is governed by the divine Mind" (Science and Health, p. 151). Also, especially helpful was this Bible verse from Hebrews: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (4:12).

I am most grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who established this system of religion on the unshakable foundation of divine Love, so that all may benefit from the Word of God as made clear through our textbook, Science and Health. This book is indeed the key that unlocks the beauty and healing truths of the Holy Bible.
